Thursday, November 26th (yes, the day after Thanksgiving), the SPCA Suncoast in New Port Richey, FL is having a Black Friday Adoption Day from Noon-4pm.

Brighten up your Black Friday weekend and visit the SPCA Suncoast.  Instead of shopping at the mall on the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, we encourage animal lovers to avoid the crowds and come to the SPCA Suncoast for a furry and truly unique experience. 

During the SPCA Suncoast's Black Friday adoption event, any dog or cat that is at least 50% black will have a reduced adoption fee.  Historically black dogs and cats have the slowest adoption rates so on Black Friday, November 26th the SPCA Suncoast would like to highlight these extra special pets!

I love this!  What a clever idea.  I wasn't aware that it's harder to find homes for the black animals.  My grandmother had cats all her life and she always had black ones, so I am especially fond of them.  That kitty picture reminds me of Nana!

Sharon, We've always loved the black kitties and I was surprised to learn when I started volunteering that they are so hard to adopt.
