First and foremost i would like to complement my lovely bride for covering for me. I am amazed at how good I feel  Wed nite after 9 hours of surgery I was not sure I was going to make it. But after a pretty good nite sleep I woke up to not to much pain and have been able to manage pretty well sense then.  Thank you all for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and prayers.  You have no idea how much we cherish them.

Dr Adachi (my ent lady) said she wold bring my new voice either today or tomorrow.  She said i wll sound like a cross between AOL's "you have mail"  and my old self.  I do miss being able to talk.  Just try and go for a couple of hours to get a feel for what it is like. You look up and see a beautiful cloud and want to point it our but you cannot so you internalize it and miminize your enjoyment of it. That's why I wan t my voice back.  Dr Adachi remind me that I will again be able to eat soon and that too rings my bells.

My Bride has been a saint in coverig  for me and I have a great Lady LO out here covering for me.  I would highly recommend Tami Simonea to anyone.

Good Luck, Good  Lending and Aloha

YaY, Bruce !   Good to hear from you and I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Soon you'll be talking up a blue streak and eating hot dogs like mad. I've got my vegee hot dog on hold waiting for the day.....I think I'll stock up on a bit of sauerkraut too....

It does sound like you've got wonderful ladies covering for you on every angle...and Linda is a treasure.

Hey Bruce!  Good to hear from you again.  Linda did a great job keeping us updated with your surgery and progress!  Looks like you're on your way to a full recovery -- just don't push yourself too much, too fast!  Just think by the end of the month we'll be having that Active Rain Hot Dog Party to celebrate you being able to eat again.  I know you're looking forward to being able to talk and then eat again.  Hugs to you and Linda.

Bruce, I would say what a site for sore eyes, but a sound for tired ears. I don't think there is such a saying. Either way, great to have you back. I will continue to lift up you and your wife in our prayers.

Bruce, It is so good to "hear" from you today. Try not to go to quickly. Nice and easy does it.

Bruce-Damn that was speedy!  I figured you would be under some painkillers for a while and too groggy to do any work.  A cross between AOL Youve Got Mail and your old self sounds pretty darn good.  Will you have one of those exterior devices that you will have to hold down to talk?  Pardon my ignorance but I am unfamiliar with the surgery you had.

Hi All -- I still do not have time to answwer all individualy but please understand how much I appreciate all tha you have said and done and prayed for us.  My Dr was in last night and explaind that she had to recreate my throat canal.  That ahs to heal and will take at least a week.  Then she will run some swalloing tests to see how much I can swallow and then at the very last minute install take out the temp trach and install the artifical voice box.  This is done without any medicine as it is a relatively painless but gory sounding procedure.  Now all I need is patience and believe me I need your prayers for that as mujch as any thng else.  I do look forward to getting back to work and am just amazed had how good I feel.  Thanks for listening to my new Dell Voice and as trime goes by If you want to hear my "You've got mail" voince I will give you a call
