Though Shalt Not Steal - Even From the Banks
While on my morning walk, I spoke with a neighbor (we'll call Ted for this post) about another neighbor (We'll just call him Bob for this post) who recently moved out. Bob had actually been a thorn in the Home Owners Association Board's side and also his surrounding neighbors for quite some time. He pretty much broke all the good neighbor rules. Consequently, he was also not paying his mortgage and his house is scheduled to be auctioned on the courthouse steps tomorrow. Ted mentioned this morning, that he saw a U-Haul at Bob's house yesterday and that Bob was carrying cabinets out of the house that appeared to be the built-in cabinets from the kitchen.
When I got home and logged onto my Facebook, a good friend of mine had posted the 8th Commandment on her page - Thou shalt not steal. The first thing that came to my mind was - "Even from the Banks". Though we are all mad at what is going on with the banks, (and when I say all, I can pretty much mean all as even those of us who continue to make our payments are not happy as it has still effected us), stealing the cabinets is still so very wrong. They were not yours, Bob, or obviously your house would have been paid off.
Sadly, when Bob's house goes on the market, it will be hard to sell and have to sell for a lot less. Once again affecting his neighbors! Though shalt not steal - even from the banks!!!!
