We all hear about how important it is to be involved in Social Media for our Real Estate Business but does it really make a difference? 
Is it important for us to be on Facebook, Twiiter, YouTube, Foursquare and all the other social media sites?
Where are the people who will become our clients when they buy and sell homes? You guessed it! They are catching up with their friends on Facebook. They are twittering about what their son did, how great the game is, and how the oil spill cleanup is going in the Gulf.
If we want to connect with new clients, we have to meet them where they are.
Did you know that there are over 24 hours of video uploaded to YouTube in ONE MINUTE? I heard that on NPR the other day. Someone was explaining how difficult it is to keep up with the new content. Is your real estate business part of that YouTube Videos market?

How does Social Media make a difference in our Real Estate Business? Well if people are busy on fb, shouldn't we be there too? If over 200,000 Tweets go out in 195 seconds, shouldn't we be Tweeting about our Listings and Open Houses?
What else do people do on the internet? They SHOP! When people are shopping for homes to buy, don't you think our Listings need to be where they can find them? I don't care how big your Circle of Influence is IRL, if you aren't on board the Social Media train, you aren't giving your sellers the best possible service. Real Estate marketing and advertising moved from the magazine to the internet and onto Social Media. That's where the cheese moved. Time for us to move too. Join me. Join your future clients.
