Greater Greenville SC Residential Homes Real Estate Market Update for October 2010

The following is the monthly Greater Greenville SC residential Real Estate market statistics for October 2010. Based on Greater Greenville MLS statistics that were gathered on November 10th, there were 502 residential single family homes (includes Condos/Townhouses and Mobile homes) sold in the Greater Greenville area. Average price for these sold Greater Greenville homes was $169,464, median price was $146,200, total October_2010_trend_chart_for_Greater_Greenville_SC_Real_Estatevolume was $85,071,073, and the average days on market (DOM) was 99 days. At 502 units sold, that is a -15.8% change from the 596 units that were sold in October 2009. These homes were sold at around 89.7% of the list price.

Year to date (YTD) from January 1st to October 31st 2010, there were 5628 homes sold in the Greater Greenville MLS. Which is a -0.3% change from the 5643 units sold for the same YTD in 2009. Average October 2010 YTD sales price was $173,018, median sales price was $143,500, total volume was $973,744,329, and average DOM is 102 days. YTD percent of original list price received  at sale is 91.2%.

There were 1,076 new listings added to the Greater Greenville MLS system in October, and as of November 10th 2010, there were 7043 residential single family homes available for sale in the Greater Greenville MLS. This is a +5.8% change from the same period last year at 6657 units active for sale. Average list price for these available homes for sale in Greater Greenville is $245,408, median list price is $172,500, total volume is $1,728,408,744, and average DOM is 163 days.
