HOW SEARCH ENGINE SATURATION WORKS

 

What's better than being at the top of page one in search engine results?

How about showing up two, three, four, maybe even five or more times on page one?  Your goal should be to dominate the first page of search results for the most popular (and likely) area searches where you practice real estate. 

In some cases, it may be more important to show up multiple times on page one than it is to show up in first or second position.

Here's an example of search engine saturation at work:

Expand your online footprint using syndication and social networking sites that give you more exposure on the Web.  You won't accomplish this goal overnight, but establishing a regular pattern of building SEO one step at a time will yield real results.

Step One - Choose the keywords you wish to optimize in search results.

In the above example, we've optimized for the search "Madeline Island Real Estate".  Note that we use these keywords in the context of our ActiveRain posts, our social networking posts and our various profiles on the Web. 

Step Two - Use your selected keywords everywhere you post to the Web. 

Think about keywords and keyword strings every time you post anything to the Web.  After awhile, this will become second nature.  For example, place keywords in your title for a YouTube video and use them in the video description.  Use keywords in both title and body copy of any blog post.  Caption your photos and graphics, using keywords in the caption itself.  Turn those photos and graphics into links and link them to your website, to your virtual tours and your single listing web pages.

Step Three - Choose listing sites and virtual tour sites that offer quality syndication to other real estate websites. 

Check out RealBird (http://www.realbird.com/?refID=19251).  Your first two listings uploads are free.  After that, you pay a reasonable fee to upload unlimited listings.  RealBird syndicates to a wide array of other sites.  Their "QuickShare" feature allows you to easily re-post each of your listings to Facebook, Twitter, ActiveRain, Craigslist, Backpage, Kijiji (eBay), Ping and others.  Be sure to complete your profile on each of these sites, in order to associate your name and company name with any listings you upload. 

USE THE SAME TECHNIQUES TO DOMINATE THE FIRST SEVERAL PAGES OF SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS FOR EACH OF YOUR LISTINGS.  Accomplish that by uploading your property listings to the Web by street address, state, zip code, county and so forth.

Great info - I try to do what you mentioned regarding consistent keywords to maximize results - just take a while for it show unless you are paying for it - I am trying organically.
