The recently opened Smart Car Wash at 13589 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge is on the cutting edge of eco-friendly service in the car wash industry.
The original business plan called for providing the best car wash at the best price. However, it turned into a search to combine green technology with the best car wash.
The design and implementation took a dedicated team of professionals years to finalize and obtain the necessary approvals.
One of the unique features is the slanted design of the roof which will capture and provide the Smart Car Wash with 100,000 gallons of rain water annually.
As it is used, 99% of the water is recycled in an onsite plant that uses equipment similar to that used on submarines to recycle water.
- 100% of the building receives natural light
- The building uses less energy than 99% of all buildings
- Landscaping plant material is local or adaptive requiring little or no water
- Biodegradable chemicals are used in the car wash process
- 40 gallons of water are used to wash a car compared to 140 gallons used on a driveway car wash
- 20% of the building was constructed with recycled material obtained locally
