Speechless Sunday (almost!): Weeeee!

The downtown St. George, Utah area is home to many pieces of outdoor sculptures from the whimsically lighthearted to those reminiscent of the area's history. This bronze statue brings back sweet childhood memories of a simpler time, "Swing me momma, swing me higher", my boys would say again and again! 

Some are for sale while others have been purchased and remain as permanent displays for everyone's enjoyment. This piece of art, named Flight Time is by Gary Lee Price and is for sale at $17,000. 

Formed in 1988, The Art Around the Corner Foundation, (formerly Dixie Arts Foundation and the Pioneer Center for the Arts Foundation), is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, enriching the community, and bringing fine arts to the heart of historic St. George.

Wanda - this is the type of art I enjoy! Those modern sculptures of who knows what (usually a mass of twisted metal) do nothing for me.
