Red, red, red - oh is it the Sparkly Red Shoes

Red, red, red and oh, is it the Sparkly red shoes (well perhaps) although those of you who have had a glimpse of me know that I really like those sparkly red shoes...hey, it is my signature no less.  No, it is what red means in so many ways in life.

To some seeing red is the anger within which flies out of you or boils within...to some it is the heat of the passionate moment (which is so much better than anger)...to some it is the dawn of a new rising sun and a better beginning.  Red explores the emotion within us and we all react differently by the cues within us- is it our hardwired selves or the things we have unconsciously learned in our years of travel through life and this business...the red sparkly shoes always remind me that there is nothing like home to anyone.  It is the red warmth of home that makes us feel secure within.

red maple tree

And as a local real estate agent in bringing my local expertise, knowledge of a geographic area and willingness to do the best for my clients has everything to do with seeing red in the sparkly red shoes.  It is the trust thing - when sometimes there is little out there for people to grasp onto, I hope I share what is part of my innate being with all my clients.  It is the heart that pours out with truth to help those who seek your counsel and guidance.

It is that red Japanese maple tree that still stands with all its leaves on it when no other tree can that brought this out in me today.  Its leaves will soon fall and join all others but for now it does have a significant presence in its surroundings.  May you find that red in you that makes the day, week or year in your business and life that spirits you on to better beginnings than ends.  Red, red, red - oh is it the sparkly red shoes...

I must admit to not being a big fan of the color red.  But you have inspired me to re-consider my thoughts on this -- Tish is a huge fan of red and has been trying to convert me for years.  Won't she be jealous when she hears you were able to do what she couldn't?

P.S.  She mentioned you in a blog on Friday -- didn't know if you'd seen it.

Thx for sharing.  I was wondering about the signiicance of the ruby red slippers in your signature.  Now, it all makes sense.  Beautiful Japanese maple.  I'll have to look that up from a flooring perspective to see how hard it is.

Deb...they're not wide of breadth so don't think they'd be much use for floors...but they are true ornamental trees to enjoy.. yes, those shoes!

Melissa...really didn't think you had the fall season much in your area...thanks for stopping by & always for your great info on shorts...

I like the color red (have lots of clothes/shoes) and love Japanese Maples (planting one this spring) but no more red rooms.  We just repainted both our daughters old rooms (both were shades of red) and it was difficult to get rid of the color.

Now that I've gone totally off-topic...let me come back by saying I do like your analogy!  ;-)

I love Japanese Maple trees, Ginny. They are colorful and elegant...and just the right size. I like your wish for us to find that which spirits us on to better beginnings. Using a color as an analogy, I would choose blue...the deep blue of the sky on a bright sunny day. Whenever I see that color...whether in a piece of jewelry, a painting, a flower...I think of the endless sky, the clean fresh air, the warm bright sun and all the endless possibilities in life.

Anita, red can be a horrible color to paint over...like purple- i had to do that one....but red is a bold color- i guess that's what i am!!

Nina, they are a wonderfu ornamental...and have such great leaves almost like fingers....blue is calming like a robins egg which is soothing...there are many amazing colors to deal with but i'm stuck on red.

Red is my oldest son's favorite color and I love to see the "red" trees this time of year.  It is a bold color, but bold is good I think!
