I love this blog below :)  Having your refridgerator look buyer ready is always a good idea.  Not sure about the inside being organized, but it can only help :)

The refrigerator is one of the main focal points of your kitchen. And since the kitchen is one of the biggest selling features of your home, don't mess it up by answering yes to any of the questions below.  Old Fridge
 1. Will buyers be able to see where my family has traveled by the magnets I've displayed?   2. Will buyers be able to see how cute I am and how cute my kids, grandchildren, pets or grandparents are?   3. Does my refrigerator look like I had to push the doors shut to get the produce, meat, soft drink and freezer aisles from the grocery store into such a limited space?   4. Do fingerprints make my refrigerator's door handles look like a crime scene investigation?   5. Will buyers smell last night's cabbage, hard-boiled eggs, tuna or anything else?

Whether the refrigerator stays with the house or goes with you after the sale of your home, make sure this appliance makes a good impression. Refrigerators take up a lot of visual space in the kitchen, especially when adorned with calendars, photos and magnet collections from all the places you've traveled.  Make sure your fridge is attracting the right kind of attention when selling.

5 Tips to make your fridge a buyer-magnet

1.  Remove all items from the exterior of the refrigerator. Rather than have a buyer remember all the magnets you've collected from all 50 states you've been to, what your Uncle Sal looks like and what sporting events your kids will be at the next month, let the refrigerator blend into the room as part of the space, not an island unto itself.

2.  Buyers look everywhere. Clean your refrigerator thoroughly with a mild cleanser. From the drawers to the grate at the bottom of the appliance make sure the appliance sparkles.

3.  Get rid of any scented items or food that may spoil. Don't let any odors permeate from the fridge which may stink up the room if the doors are opened.  Cabbage, hard boiled eggs and tuna fish are strong smelling foods that could cause unappetizing odors to waft into the kitchen when a prospective buyer checks out the space in your fridge.

4.  Organize the items in your refrigerator and freezer as if it were being featured in a magazine. Not only will it help you when it comes time to prepare a meal or reach for a snack, buyers love organized spaces

5.  Repaint or replace if the appliance has seen better days or doesn't match the other appliances, especially if it stays with the house.  The cost of replacing a refrigerator in the mind of a buyer can be more than the actual price.  Do your homework and you should be able to easily recoup the cost.  If you must repaint the appliance, either hire a professional to do it or be sure you can do it appropriately.

Showing you the best of Sarasota!

Love this post!  It is amazing what a focal point the refrigerator is in every kitchen.  And although we may love to walk down memory magnets, they are clutter and make the space look small.  The same with butcher block tables.  If you have one in the center of your kitchen, keep it clean and void of all the stuff that seems to accumulate on them.  Tall containers filled with cooking utinsils are hard to look over and they make the space feel small and confining.  No matter how uncluttered you feel you have made your home, go back and do it again and again until the only things left are those that you use every single day and have no place to store.  The magnes and the grocery lists and all the family pictures can be put away to grace the refrigerator of the home you are not trying to sell!
