There were 2,750 homes sold in October 2010 in San Diego County, down 25.1% from October 2009 and down 10.1% from September 2010. Sales reached a low of 1,826 in January 2008, and after a wacky 2009 that was affected by bank bailouts and home-buying tax credits, sales had been holding steady between 3,000 and 3,800 since January. October was the first month that was not affected by either federal or state home-buying tax credits. Coupled with the fall season, which is traditionally slower, experts were not surprised by the fall. The holiday season can be a great time to look for a home or to sell your home since competition normally isn't as great. If you've been debating whether or not to buy, if your intent is to live in your home, raise your family there, and perhaps even retire there, it's always a great time to buy. Interest rates still at record lows and home prices are holding steady. If you don't have a lender to work with, I'll help you find a lender, too! I know several great ones! ♪♫♫♫♪ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email.
