SUNDAY DEER PICTURES

By

The many Axis deer sure were looking for something to eat this afternoon.  I think there were about twenty looking for a acorn or a pecan to fill their tummy.  The deer really like to eat pecans more than the like acorns but their favorite snack is corn.  There is a fair crop of pecans this year and the deer of all breeds love to eat whole pecans.  They don't even stop to crack pecans they just crack them in their mouth as they eat them.

Karen, Thanks for the comments and yes, they do love pecans.

Mary, I just wish everyone would think of all animals as a gift from God.  Yes, They sure will eat the pecans in the yard.

Harry, The deer population is growing so fast and there are many that get hit on the highways.  Just watch out because they sure can do a lot of damage to any vehicle.

Hi Don~  I think that Deer are so beautiful.  I am married to a hunter and two of my four children hunt.  I can't understand how they can hunt them!

Vickie, I love the deer in the yard but I do understand the hunting of deer and other animals even though I have not hunted in 25 years. I sure could not shoot one in my yard.

HI Don, they are so beautiful. We have deer in the backyard but not ones with polka dots. I also didn't know they eat pecans. They DO eat my Hibiscus but that's okay!

Vegas Bob, Thanks for the comments and I like your picture. How long have you been here on earth? LOL

Chris, Yes, the deer do make a dent in the pecan crop but we have over 100 trees so there is enough left for us and the pie thing. :) :)

Andrezj, These deer are in my front yard but yes I do use a zoom even though it is only a 12X. Thanks for the comments.

They sure are pretty with all the white spots on them. The deer population here is exploding and you do see them dead a lot on the side of the road.  How sad it is to see.

Don,

Oh thank you for posting these lovely deer! They are my favorite animal! Coincidentaly I spotted one deer here in Flower Mound on Saturday and I couldn't believe my eyes! It's the first one I saw in my neck of the woods in close proximity to a residential neighborhood. Like others before me, I didn't know they eat pecans. That's good to know!
