*********

This is Day 8 of my Be Thankful Challenge and I'm expressing my gratitude for BOOKS. Sounds silly, I know, but I absolutely LOVE books. I am a life-long learner and a voracious reader. I love to read and I just can't get enough of books.  What's the best thing you can do with a great book that's sitting on a shelf collecting dust?  Share it, of course so that someone else can enjoy it too!

I hope you consider joining me in my Holiday Season "Be Thankful Challenge" because ....

You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.” – Sarah Ban Breathnach, Author Simple Abundance

What a great thing to do with those books that may be collecting dust on the shelves. I used to collect hard backs. It got to be too much so they went to the pubic library. The high school library is even better!!

Karen that is a good idea.  I don't think that I have seen our PTO's/PTA's do that around here.

What a great reason to drop off a few books! I've given to the local library before. These are great ways to support others.

You know I have a lot of books, I really should dust them off and donate them.  :)

Thanks everyone for checking in!  I donate many of my kids' old books to the local library.  A book is a terrible thing to waste!

I've done that before and it is a great idea.  Otherwise, what else can be done.  I can't see them in the garbage!

Hi Karen, that is a great idea.  I need to be in on the "Be Thankful" Challenge, as well.
