It is important to keep your carpets clean and in good condition.
Some hints for this are:
- Wipe up spills immediately. If left, they can permanently stain or discolour your carpet. Sweet drinks, especially cola can leave a black mark. Remember to blot the spill, don't scrub.
- Vacuum the carpets regularly, at least once a week if it is a high traffic area.
- Put down a mat at the entrance. This will collect a lot of dirt that your bring into the house.
- Removing your shoes indoors also helps to keep the carpets clean. If you wear your shoes in the house, you are depositing all the dirt from the street into your home.
