Let's face it - no one really likes to move and you really are on your own in the process. You are responsible for coordinating a number of activities that all have to happen and happen in a certain order so that you, your family and your furniture all end up at your new home at the same time. We assign a client services advisor to each of our clients to help them through each and every step of the relocation process.
Here is an overview of some of the services we provide:
- Real estate agent recommendations. There are over 1,5 million real estate agents for you to choose from in the US today. A simple internet search in your hometown could turn up literally thousands of potential agents for you to select. MoveVantage has already done the heavy lifting in identifying the very best real estate agents in a given market. We require a combination of continuing education certifications and outstanding customer service. We will recommend a real estate agent to help you sell your existing home and we will recommend an agent to help you purchase your new home.
- Moving company recommendations. We partner with a combination of national, regional and local moving companies so that we can offer the best possible solution to our clients. We'll recommend a moving company for you to use and we will go through the moving company quote line by line with you to make sure that it is correct, complete and you have enough replacement valuation in case something gets broken.
- Local research. Upon your request - we will research all sorts of information about the city you are moving to - parks, schools, nightlife, cultural activities, utilities and anything else you can think of.
I get asked many times about who our typical customers are and my response is that they are individuals and families that want someone to help simplify the relocation process.
A sampling of our customers might look like this: Retirees moving to their new homes, individuals needing to relocate their parents or children, individuals relocating for employment, but their employers are not involved in the relocation process, or perhaps you are just someone doesn't want to go through the relocation process alone....and wants to experice some outstanding customer service!
I'm sure your next question is how much is this going to cost me and the answer may surprise you. MoveVantage is compensated for our services by our real estate and moving partners, so there should be no additional charges to our clients for our services. As a caveat - If you are selling your home - you will be responsible for negotiating a commission agreement with your local real estate agent and you will also be responsible for any moving company charges.
