10 Comments on A Family Goes Full Circle in the Historic Parkfairfax Neighborhood
Nice post, Cindy. Love the personal elements and I hope prospective clients do, too. You clearly are a local expert!
Nice post highlighting a terrific neighborhood. I had a client a few years ago who liked a unit there; when she wanted to take a second look, mom and dad came along. Imagine their shock when they realized it was THEIR first place together as newlyweds. Yes, she bought it! ;-) Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
I didn't know that Parkfairfax had been the homes of two past Presidents. That's neat. And very cool that your family has found this wonderful neighborhood as "home" once again.
Kristen-I think it's fun to add a bit of personal elements to our posts. Thanks for your comment and have a great weekend.
Susan-that's amazing. Whenever I go to Carlyle's I think of the times I went to the building when my mom worked there. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Chris Ann-the two buildings were Nixon and Ford lived have plagues on them. The Nixon's lived in the same square with my parent's. Mom said years later that "Pat Nixon had to do her laundry in the laundry room with the rest of us." Think there was a little dig in there somewhere :-)
I, too, was interested to learn about the past presidents. I love to see areas become reinvigorated. I love the new life that can be breathed into these communities.
Cal
With just 36 days left in 2010, Zoey the Cool Cat and I just wanted to stop by and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope it’s a great one, with lots of fun and food with family and friends!
Cal-this area is prime for anyone who works in DC or Alexandria. I can't imagine what it would look like with highrises instead of these wonderful and quirky condos. Just spent a week on rennovations on the unit I own and when you are dealing with 1940's construction you have to find someone who knows what they are doing.
Russell-Happy Thanksgiving to you and Zoey the Cool Cat.
