Tuesday is realtor tour day in San Mateo County, and the tour is pretty light, since Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Most home owners and realtors seem to have their mind on taking a pause to appreciate family, friends and feast. There was a total of 213 properties on tour today.
Today's Top o' the Tour is a home that has not actually been open for touring, though I think it's a good one to share:
The Buck Estate in Woodside, CA, is now being offered for sale at $12,900,000 through listing agent Scott Dancer, Coldwell Banker.
According to county records, the home was completed in 1934. It was designed by noted architect Albert Farr, after Hampton Court in Middlesex, England, a 16th century royal family residence. This Tudor-style icon is an architectural beauty with brick and stucco cut stone exteriors, high Gothic arches, mullioned windows, and slate roof. Over 17,000 square feet, the interior features ornate plaster details, original wood carved panelling and a current total of 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. The grounds currently encompass over 3.5 acres and offer views of the San Francisco Bay.
