Helping Karen George

While perusing AR today I learned about a gifted blogger named Karen George. For those who don't know she is in a tough battle against breast cancer and needs her AR family's help. Taking the lead from Adam Waldman I am going to do my part in spreading the word about helping Karen and her family during this difficult time.

If we all just send in $10 we could raise over $400k from all the members of AR! That's pretty powerful! If you'd like to contribute you can send your check to:

There is also a Bank of America account set up in another post. We should all be able to help her our with something. Even a little from each of us will make a big differenc.

That's good to know. The more we all spread the word the better we can help her.

Thank you for bringing this up again, many of us have posted on Karen's difficulties and honestly there has been many good people join in the effort to help but I thought many more would have. Perhaps because there are so many post on any given day that this is getting lost in the shuffle I am not sure.

Karen is a wonderfully talented lady and has done much to help so many, she has not asked for a thing in return from any of us but I know she needs all the help we can send her direction so I encourage all of this community to get together behind her.

Sandy - This is a noble post. Since Adam and I are friends, I had seen his post on this as well. I think I might just stick a check in the mail this week.

Sandy - what a great effort to pull together the resources here on AR. We need to continue to fight for a cure, what you're doing here is very admirable! Thanks for your caring heart and spirit!! B-)

Sandy - you should also check out Karen's outside blog about breast cancer - there is a link on her profile - it is called Breast Cancer sucks... it is an amazing journal of her first battle.... and she as bracelets she sells that say breast cancer sucks...

Bob & Carolin - Thanks for mentioning the Bank of America option. I agree, we can all spare a little which adds up to a whole bunch! Thanks for stopping by!

Darrell - I think you are right a post gets lost quickly and many go unseen. I had not heard about her situation until just now so I'm doing everything I can to get it out there. I sent a personal email to all my associations to let them know to check out my blog and others. Hopefully they'll pass the info onto their associations and so on and so on! I don't think the lack of response is people not caring I think we just need to keep the need going and not let it get lost until Karen is out of the woods! Thanks for commenting!

Jason - I think it was your suggestion to check out the new Addicts group that I found Adam which led me to Karen. Now that's Divine intervention!! I dropped my check in the mail this morning already! Thanks for commenting. I'm just doing my part to help out someone in need!

Brad - It makes me very grateful for my good health and if there is something I can do, to help her and her family out I am all over it! It's awful to hear someone so young going through such a battle. Thanks for commenting!

Mike - I had not heard until just now as well and wanted to do all I could to spread the word. We can make a difference for her and her family for even a small donation. Thanks for your donation, I'm sure Karen and her family will appreciate it very much.

Kris - I am so glad those who missed it the first time are seeing it now. I'm sure you have your own spere, so spread the word to them and it should go from there and before we know it, Karen will be known all over AR!!!

Thesa - Thanks I will. I have a friend whose mother has had breast cancer three times and is a survivor. She is pretty lucky unfortunately not all stories end this way. I'm going to spend some time today reading more of Karen's blogs. Thanks for the comments, now put them into a short blog and reach your spere.
