I must say, I'm amazed myself, two weeks ago, I never heard of AR, and now today, I'm crossing 10,000 points on AR. WOW! I happened to do a search and what do you know, one of the top replies, was AR. I quickly saw lots to check out! BTW, if you hate numbers, stats, and figures, move that mouse quickly and CLICK, CLICK FAST on ANYTHING, but leave quickly! I love stats, numbers, and figures, so this blog will have quite a few! OK, now, anyone still reading, OH WELL, am I speaking to myself, and myself only? :-) I know, there are a few others out there that like numbers and stats!
I must say, thanks to all the AR people that I have ‘met' and corresponded with, these last two weeks. Considering I never even heard of this site two weeks ago, I'm amazed at how much I've learned, and know there is LOTS more out there to learn! I picked up great advise from some fellow notaries, even tips from non-notaries that have been interesting & informative! I've even talked to a mortgage broker in the next county from me, found a few people I actually knew (and they didn't even invite me to AR, shame on them!) and even may have found someone I might know in the area I grew up in, in PA. (I sent him an E-mail, still waiting for the reply - he had no pic so I'm not sure) Thanks again for the comments, tips, pointers, and just nice words posted on my blogs! That helped me attain the 10,000 point level pretty quickly! There are also a few funnies out there to break the seriousness of the world with words, pics, and other things that just make you laugh! LOL! The world really is a funny place! I even had a ‘new' AR member post a comment to my blog, then another say they were sorry to me, that person stepped over the line, and I should erase their comment because it was too advertising in nature. Why? Did it step over the AR rules line, yea it did. But I'm sure that person is trying to get her word out there, get better SEO, and such. It didn't bother me, she's a Realtor in another state. Not someone trying to bully in front of me in line locally, so to speak, so I left her comment. (Heck, it might have even increased my points a couple, so why take them off my blog?) The other person made their point, so hopefully, that ‘newbie' will stop the blatant advertising. In any case, it didn't bother me, just others.
As I investigated the accomplishment, I even discovered lots more! Did you know that over 96% of the people in the US & DC have a score LESS than 10,000. That shocked me! That means I'm in the top 3.12% of the whole country! To me that tells me that many join, but are not taking advantage of what AR has to offer! If you are in any part of the real estate business, this is a great opportunity to be heard, and get your service or product out there, and let people know what you do, and your specialty! I have seen Realtors use the blog to post their properties (which when I saw it the first time, I thought that was ingenious!) notaries try and get the word out about what an NSA is (I thought all mortgage brokers, title companies & Realtors knew when I started as an NSA, am was and still am, shocked at how many do NOT know!) I've seen people who do staging promote what they do, and how well (and WOW some do an amazing job!) And I could go on, and on about what I have seen in such a short time! I've seen first hand how powerful AR is for SEO! I put my moms property (for sale in Pennsylvania) in my blog. Then the next day, did a search on the area, and my blog showed up #2 in Google! The Realtor selling my mom's property showed up #6 - so I invited her to join AR. She hasn't to date, which amazes me as well. If you have properties to sell, why not take advantage of EVERY place possible to get the word out about that property? Especially a free service like AR. The more exposure, the greater the possibility that the person looking for that right property you have, will find it! Yes, you can even pay on AR, and someday, I probably will as well, but business is slow these days, and I'm trying to conserve money, so for now, I'll go the free route, and even that does a tremendous job, as I said. (Well not totally free, my time and a few pushes on the keyboard, but I can handle that! )
In all but 2 states (CA & FL) if you have 10,000 points, you are at least in the top 100 of your state! CA has the most members with 7216, FL is second with 5922. There are only two other states with over 2000 members, TX has 2421 and WA has 2008. Of course breaking the 10,000 is old news to many in these four states, but if you are right on the 10,000 point mark, you are ranked 185 in CA, 172 in FL (hey that's me), 70 in TX, and 80 in WA. If you have 10,000 points, you are in the top 10 (not percent, that is actual ranking - which floored me!) in 20 states, and the top 5 in 12 states! If you are at that 10,000 mark, your average ranking in the 50 states + DC, is 28! If I lived in ND, VT, or WY, I would actually be #1 in the state! WOW! Let me say WOW again? I would be ranked 2nd in WV, and 3rd in SD, RI, AK, DE. That is a total of 8 states, that having 10,000 points would actually make you #1, 2, or 3rd in the entire state. Yikes! (No WOW this time) And here I am back at 172 in FL. Oh well, I'm having fun WHILE learning sooooo much! As far as notaries go, I'm in the top 5 of the whole US. Come'on fellow notaries, take advantage of this. Maybe we can get title companies to search Google for us, rather than 123, then we won't be held for ransom with advertising fees!
I wonder how fast I can accomplish the next 10,000? Only you, my fellow AR members can tell me that, and help me accomplish that milestone! When I get to that mark, I'm sure I will have lots more stats!
Thanks again to all AR members, whether you read or comment on anyone's blog, not just mine!
