Hi Patricia, very nice photograph and thought. We should all enjoy the moment. It passes too quickly. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Truer words don't exist. I seem to often find myself surrounded by control freaks. I tend to go with the flow, and find the serendipity along the way. There is a power in surrender:-)
Just like the animals, we could all benefit if we'd listen to our instincts a little more -- especially when they tell us to pull back.
Your image says more than a 1000 words about accepting reality and living your life in the present. This animal is clearly in captivity and peaceful at the same time. Amazing when you think about it.
Patricia, Your words are right on and this is no Bull! Being from Texas I guess that you know this is a Brahma Bull. Thanks for the great photo. :)
Toni,
Thanks for being in agreement and being the first to reply. Thank was mighty friendly of you! :)
Myrl, I like your words, "there's power in surrender." I find power in just that phrase alone! Thank you! :)
Emily, you're right! We can learn a lot from observing animals, can't we. They have learned to tolerate people, location and the weather, they have been around for a very long time so I would call them survivors, they eat the right food and know when to rest, and they provide people with many of the necessities we need to survive! Most of all they know when it's time to surrender. Yes! As you said, they are AMAZING!
Don, I had no idea this one was a Brahma Bull! Thank you for telling me. I'm a natural born city slicker from Chicago. As a kid, I saw skyscrapers, i.e., The John Hancock building from my back window from where I grew up. Although there was a lot of Bull in Chicago, I had never seen one until I moved to Texas and I didn't know what they were called until you came along!
P.S. I always thought Bulls played basketball!!! Michael Jordan was King of the Bulls!
Wow that is a huge bull! Words to live by!
Debra,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I greatly appreciate you!
