On this Thanksgiving Day, we reflect upon the many things which bring joy to our lives. No one would disagree that the roof over our heads is perhaps our greatest source of safety and comfort. Those of us who work in the housing industry know that regardless of its location and features, a house is really just a combination of building materials, brought together in a way that satisfies the need for shelter, whereas a home is something different.
Simply, a home is really a place where one's family resides or gathers for special occasions. With so many families spread around the country and the world, your home is wherever you are when you are together with your family. And for those of us that cannot be with their family members in person, we can be at "home" with them when we reach out to wish them love and blessings on this special holiday. Wonderful memories connect us to our family members that are no longer here to share the joy of the season.
I wish everyone some great quality time with family and friends this Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season. There's no place like home and nothing more important than those moments we create. Be thankful every day - I am!
