"KNICK-KNACK PADDYWHACK-GIVE THE DOG A BONE-THIS OLD MAN CAME ROLLING HOME"  Now, how does verse TWO go?  And, What has it got to do with Real Estate?

This song gets into your mind, and won't let go...  In verse ONE, this old man played "Knick-Knack Paddywhack on my THUMB" and is reminded that the importance of his success begins with taking hold of things having a feel for the Client's needs.

In Verse 2, "This old man, he played TWO--he played Knick-Knack Paddywhack on my SHOE."  In Real Estate, I must put my best foot forward, and step up to the task before me.  My closet has various types of foot wear for different occassions:  there are times to step into my work boots, and times to put that best foot forward in dress shoes.  I don't need (nor do I want) Emelda Marcos' shoe closet; but knowing what and how to step up is critical to my success.  The shoe simply reminds me that full preparation for my task is more than "being smart, energetic, well-known, hard-working and credentialed": it requires versatility and a willingness to step aside for my client's needs.
