Looking for tracks

I snapped this pic yesterday from the Rams Head Bar and Grill in the Timberline Lodge in Mt. Hood Oregon. We had lunch near a window that looked out to the upper slopes of Timberline. The lifts to the top aren't yet opened so these slopes remain pristine and trackless. They almost look lonely. How would you like to be the first one for the season?

Mark, that is truly beautiful! I have 2 sisters who live near Mt. Hood, in Boring, OR. I did not travel there this year.

It is so cool to see undisturbed snow & the beauty of nature!

If I were still skiing, it would be awesome. As I hike now, postholing in that would be way to exhausting, but beautiful, none the less.

Skiing through virgin snow must be really nice.  Kind of similar to calm waters while water skiing.

It's like nature is giving all of the ski and snowboard enthusiasts a blank canvas. If it were me, I'd probably run right into those two pine trees!

I'm sure if Timberline offered a $1000 ticket to be the first down the mountain, there would be plenty of people lined up to buy that ticket.
