First Snow in Kentucky - 2010!

By
Home Inspector with B4 U Close Home Inspections&Radon Testing (www.b4uclose.com)

Yesterday, Thanksgiving, was a balmy 63 degrees here in central Kentucky, though it was a lot of drizzling rain.

Then I wake up this morning to head for the coffee shop and whatta you know.  I had to scrape the snow and ice off my windshield.

My grandsons, who spent the night with grandpa and grandma, jumped up, threw on extra layers of clothing, and were off with their sleds and snowball fights.

Good thing, because it'll likely all be melted away by tomorrow!

I think the current owners are a little angry about the thorough inspection you did. They didn't have one done and it cost them $18K.  I, my loan officer and my agent think a home inspection is well worth what I paid.

Thank You for the outstanding job you did on the inspection.  We bought and sold 9 houses and this was the only inspection that was ever done properly.  It was helpful and we will use it to do the repairs with a system, instead of the guess work we usually do.  Thanks again

I can relate to that, being your neighbor to the North.  Why is it such a shock each year to us?

Maybe it'because it is shirt sleves one day and snow the next.  It is always such a jolt .

There is something magical about snow......Just being in it, touching it, watching it fall, tasting it, and then doing things with it......and its free! Now that is a value...

I love to watch the snow as it comes down gently...

To get up at five in the morning and clean all that snow... Is a different story.

Hey Erby, I wish our snow would exit in a day or two. Ours will stick around until next April or even May.

Erby ~ It was nice to wake up to a little snow this morning...however our puppy didn't know what to think about her temporarily transformed back yard. I hope that getting snow so early here isn't indicative of our winter to come.

Shirley:  It is indeed a terrible jolt.  In July, I wanted to get some cooler weather.  Now, I want some warmer weather.  Just can't be pleased.

Wanda.  Loved watching the kids play in it.  Now I'm ready for spring to be here.

Richie:  It is indeed free and enjoyable to watch from the comfort of my home.

Joshua:  I need to find a local kid to take care of the last part.

Bob:  Enjoy it while you got it.  You must love it or you wouldn't be there.

Chris:  It was nice to look out at, until I had to go scrape the ice and snow off the windshield.

The grand kids must have enjoyed their first frolic in the snow this year.  Did you watch them at play?  Here in CA we have snow on some mountain tops.  And from the valley below, it is breathtaking.

It's the best kind, Sheila.

Laura. Get ready.  It's here.  But beach badges will be coming soon.

They did, Dee.  I don't just watch them play, I join them.  Much more fun and laughter that way.
