Oh what a night.....Peppino D'Agostino and Stef Burns....
This was one of the best music evenings Benicia has seen ever. The best of the best arrived at the Haley Horn Auditorium. the auditorium was packed with people who understand the quality of musicians we have right here in Benicia.
At one point Dave Meniketti from Y&T got up for a few hard rock songs and really changed the tempo, but it really fit right in. Mark Russo from the Doobie Bros. was also something new withPeppino and Stef, but it really worked and rounded out the band.
Peppino's daughter Aleza D'Agostino came on stage and not knowing what to expect was jaw dropping good, something that I think surprised everyone. Her first song brought tears to my eyes and I know many more in the room. What a beautiful voice and presence on the stage. A star is born.....
Peppino D'Agostino and Stef Burns were as usual the best of the best. The banter and comedy between them always keeps the audience laughing and pulls you right in to the evening. They make you feel like you are part of the concert and a member of their family.
All in all it was one of my best evenings of the year. It was an early Christmas present!
The evening took me to a place of wanting to do more for others, as I felt how much they do for us.........
