Paying It Forward one Fort Myers Beach sunset at a time ! Sometimes we take so much for granted. Today it hit me that I have been so busy with real estate here on Fort Myers Beach that some of our greatest attractions are missing from my daily/weekly routine ! Shame on me. I live here on the island. I sell real estate here on the island. I help others buy here on the island. I help them understand how terrific it is to walk on the beach and enjoy our world famous Gulf of Mexico sunsets ! And now I can't remember the last time I took my own advice !

It is very common for visitors here to ask what it's like to live in such a gorgeous place ! I have no problem encouraging them to explore our beautiful island and even consider buying their own pice of island paradise. How embarrased would I be if asked when was the last time I actually walked on the beach !!! Double shame on me ! Fort Myers Beach and a walk on the beach

Bill....oft times we don't see what we live; it is so easy to dwell in the knowledge that it is all around us and that we do see it, but since it will be there again tomorrow we needn't stop today. However, I must say that your views Fort Meyers Beach are so gorgeous; did not know that fort Meyers Beach was an island, did know that it is in the Gulf area; when we do sell here, we are planning on Vero Beach [non-island] area. Florida is a beautiful place and WARM most of the time. You have some wonderful photos that you shared here--consider your 'walk on the beach' to have been met for this day. Have a great week.

Bill, how easy it is to too have the beautiful landscape become, well, the landscape that you no longer notice. I lived overlooking Pismo Beach, CA back in my college days and would kick myself when a week or more went by without getting some sand in between my toes.

Now I live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay area and rarely pause long enough to take in all of the beauty. Thanks for the reminder.
