MY LIFE IN POINTS, STATS AND DOLLARS!

MY LIFE IN POINTS, STATS AND DOLLARS!

My life has evolved into stats and more stats!  With AR points, miles that I log each week, dollars earned and market reports, I feel that my life is being measured in every area!

No doubt this is good in many ways.  The AR point system keeps me blogging regularly allowing me to receive excellent Google juice, AR friends and some great referral business.

My miles that I log each week through my running keep me sane.  Rather than Google juice, I receive Endorphin juice which naturally gives me a high, keeps my stress level down and allows me to indulge with that large bowl of ice cream every now and then.

My dollars earned of course keeps me in the game of life and in the game of real estate.  Without having the challenge to consistently produce and keep the ball rolling, I would be out of business.  Keeping a good eye on these numbers helps me to project for the next year, plan and of course to simply live.

Market reports enable me to keep a keen eye on what is going on in my market.  I can list property at the correct price, make adjustments when the stats change and be an expert in my area about the real estate market.

Haven't we all become addicted to points, stats, dollars, etc.?  I have!  Checking in with AR each and everyday, logging my mileage into my Nike Plus System keeps me running and my bank account keeps me motivated to work!

Another week, another dollar, another AR point and another mile!  Life is great!

Paula,

A very sane and direct way to balance it all out, what ever works as long as its consistent!

So true Patrick.  I have learned that consistency in whatever we are doing is the key.

Paula,

Whether we like it or not, we are being evaluated by numbers all the time.  I just don't want to make the mistake of thinking that God judges our good works in the same way... g

The numbers don't lie, that's for sure!  I think it's great to have benchmarks and I always want to improve.

Paula,

I really enjoyed your post. It is very important to hold yourself accountable and numbers are a great way to do that. Best of luck in your training as well! I just signed myself up for my first half marathon that's coming up this spring.

Happy Holidays - Jamie

Paula,

It's so true!  Everything revolves around numbers and some of us are more hung up on it than others. Glad I'm not alone.
