BabyHarris2 Update - Over Freakin' Due!!

Thank you for all the emails asking if everything is ok. I know I haven't been blogging for the past couple of weeks and that has people on pins and needles.

NO, there is no baby yet.  However, I'm hoping there will be one by this time tomorrow!

I developed a condition called SPD which means my leg has basically disconnected from my pelvic bone. I've been in lots and lots of pain for the past 3 weeks. It's very hard to walk. It's very hard to get up from a sitting position.

My doctor suggested inducing. She's been out of town since last Tuesday and gets back tomorrow, so I will be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 5:30am.

I'm really hoping I'm one of those where this condition heals itself once the pressure is removed. Otherwise, "the internet" says it could take years to heal which would not be the greatest thing...

So, there's the update. No Baby, No Name, No Nothing right now... but there should be something to report tomorrow.

I keep hearing the same conversation over and over:

Alyssa: Mommy, I'm three, right?
Me: Yes.
Alyssa: Why didn't the baby come?
Me: He will.
Alyssa: I don't think he's coming...

Oh wow....I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time. Inducing is no fun, I went through that when my labor stopped on my daughter's birth. Make sure you have an epidural handy :). It's so exciting though.....I remember that feeling of a newborn in my arms....doesn't get any better than that. Keeping good thoughts for you!!!!

Donna, I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time too.  And I'm hoping "the internet" is wrong & your leg situation will resolve itself quickly.  Praying for you & your family.

Lottie, Thanks!

Karen, I just hope the epidural is easier to put in this time. Last time, it took 45 minutes because the guy said I didn't know how to relax and was a control freak... imagine that!

Susan, Thanks! The internet knows all!!

OUCH. They say you don't remember the pain when you look into the babies eyes once they are born. I think a man must have said that. Good luck for an easy pain free delivery.

When I was pregnant with Christa my fingers went numb. The Dr. said it was normal...that there is lots of normals in pregnancy. He said it would go away after the baby was born and so right after I delivered, I kept waiting for my feeling to return. It didn't.

It took about 6 weeks til I lost all my baby weight.

Good luck tomorrow, I know you are excited.
