Real Estate Agent with Metro Life Homes / Maui Life Homes RS-78439 / BRE #01708344

There are so many unique historical buildings in Los Angeles, California. One that really catches the eye is the Old Plaza Firehouse.

The Old Plaza Firehouse was built in 1884 and is the oldest firehouse in Los Angeles. The firehouse was used as a firehouse until 1897. After that, it was used as a saloon, pool room and a cigar store. The old firehouse had been used plenty for all kinds of different uses!

In the 1950’s the Old Plaza Firehouse was completely restored. This unique historical landmark was turned into a firefighting museum in 1960, which is still a museum even today.

It is pretty great to have such a historical treasure in our own backyard!

This looks pretty new for an old fire station - very commendable maintenance.

Hi Ralph - I like those old buildings and have just posted shots of some old postcards of Los Angeles on my page. I got the idea from your post showing a similar postcard! You might like to take a look at them.
