Yes...... I made a AR milestone! This is my 100th post and I thought it was time to express my thanks and thoughts to the ActiveRain community.
My time here on ActiveRain has been enriching and educational. Here on AR, I have a forum that allows me to reveal my thoughts on this roller coaster career in real estate, cries for help, embarrassing moments, and random rants. It is a great forum for me. Here, I don't have to make eye contact, worry that I have offended someone (well, at least I hope not), and I feel secure enough to be perfectly honest with what I'm thinking. That's refreshing after a stressful day or week of trying to make everyone happy. Blogging has fulfilled my need to write, or at least make an attempt to express myself in words.
Even better than the personal benefits I have gained, blogging has opened up networking opportunities that would have been impossible only a few years ago. I have learned that I'm not terribly different from other real estate professionals: lots of us have stress issues, career insecurities, and a constant desire to make a difference in the world of real estate. Even more important than that, however, is the friendships I have built in only a few short months. We do not all agree on every issue. But we are all searching and constantly yearning to learn more, more, more.
The way I see it, this common need to share our experiences and feel that we are apart of something much larger than just a transaction is the driving force behind ActiveRain blogging. I believe that ActiveRain rewards the one who diligently seeks knowledge, guidance, and friendship.
Blogging has helped enforce that real estate is my true career calling. Difficult as this career is, I know that in real estate, I will be pushed to my limit at times, and with the AR community, I will survive the challenges as I share those challenges and successes with you, and that you can be encouraging.
So, in the spirit of celebration, I want to thank those bloggers that have inspired me, challenged me and energized me. And in no particular order...
