Whether you’re seeking a relaxed porch with Southern cooking and organic beer or four-star culinary creations from nationally-acclaimed chefs, remarkable restaurants abound in Asheville.  Many area restaurants pair with local farms to bring you hormone-free and grass-fed meats, organic fruits and vegetables. You’ll discover the authenticity of the cuisine with your fist bite! Café on the Square, Early Girl Eatery, The Market Place, Laughing Seed Café, Rezaz, Table and Tupelo Honey are just a few of the many choices. Don't miss the wine tasting at the unique Merry Wine Market. A successful husband and wife team with a wonderful story not to mention their wines and one of a kind beers - for their tasting schedule click here and pop into the handmade chocolate shop next door to grab the most delightful chocolate while continuing on to the fab kitchen store next door.

Dining Out:

One of Ro's favorite restaurants in the Asheville area is Que Sera in Black Mountain. An unassuming frontage with wonderful service and food inside. Think French meets Louisiana meets American, with incredible fish with creative sides and deserts that will tempt those who don't usually partake. Oysters on the half shell  and soft shells in season. Carl and Janie the owners will delight you. Service you would only usually find in NY or LA. 400 E State Street, Black Mountain. Call 828 664 9472 for a reservation.

For a wonderful lunch in Black Mountain, mostly homemade, visit the Veranda. Once again, a husband and wife team that offer the type of service you thought had disappeared. Try the soups. If there's a wait at this popular spot, pop into Seven Sisters Gallery next door - although you might find yourself being drawn back after lunch by the all-American created artwork, jewelry and creations Andrea has on display. 119 Cherry St
Black Mountain, NC 28711-3424
Phone 828 669 8864

For lunch and dinner, visit Marvin's Caminos just down the road from Cherry St at 107 Black Mountain Avenue. Great Mexican/Southwestern inspired food - try the fish tacos! This restaurant has a sit-at bar as well as dining tables and an outdoor seating area. 107 Black Mountain Avenue, Phone 828 669 1982

For a fun Thursday night out, the type you will be surprised by, visit the Pisgah Brewing Company at 150 Eastside Business Park 828-669-0190. Here you'll spot business, construction folks, local retail business owners and moms and grandmoms rubbing shoulders partaking in the local brew, served in an old industrial site full of character.
