Aren't we all guilty.....Look around in your local area and let me know what you see.

I just read a post by a fellow Keller Williams agent Mike Jaquish in Cary, NC and agree 100%. I had to share what I have seen recently and feel strongly about on the subject..... without going off on a rant in my reply to him.

I can't help hearing all the complaints of our poor economy and loss of jobs due to our foreign competitors. We all here it, we know it's true and let's face it we're all to blame at times; from the cars we drive, the tooth paste we grew up with, Hershey's chocolate and even an American flag now and then is made outside our borders. So explain this to me, why is it in most any large city in our United States when you look at our, City County and even State vehicles we see Foreign makes being used? Look around in your local area and let me know what you see.

Interesting post to raise awareness about the choice we individually make and the collective ones made by our elected officials right down to the local level. Over 30 years ago, when I was a grad student working on my dissertation in economics on the transfer of technology overseas - i discovered more apathy than concern about the impact of this on our labor market, education system and skill sets. The more things change, the more they say the same. Our demand as consumers created this new reality more than we realize. And yes, we have the life and economy we create.

Thanks for a thought provoking post.
