There are some great family communities in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix. Some of the best places to raise a family are in Peoria, Surprise, Glendale, and North Phoenix. These are cities that have communities with just about any day to day activities right outside your door. Some of them also have larger community wide events monthly. These family communities in the Northwest Valley have schools within walking distance and shopping is near enough not to have to make a day of it.
Also to make it to the list the family communities in the Northwest Valley had to be within good distance to the Loop 101 that surrounds Phoenix, one of the quickest ways to get from point ‘A' to point ‘B'. However, knowing that not everyone wants to be that close to the excitement; I have included a few places that are a little further off of the beaten path. That is the criteria that I used for these great family communities in the Northwest Valley.
So, without further delay, the list of the family communities in the Northwest Valley I chose includes: Stetson Valley, Sonoran Mountain Ranch, West Wing Mountain, Surprise Farms, Cross River (Dos Rios), Vistancia, and the new up and coming Tierra Del Rio. These made my ‘short list' of family communities in the Northwest Valley that I would like to live in. These are places where there are parks within the neighborhood you live and your child's school is just a few minutes away. Most of these neighborhoods have walking trails, playgrounds with "splash pads" for those hot summer days, and grassy park areas for our four legged friends. The majority of the neighborhoods have organized events frequently also to encourage getting to know you neighbors and making new friends.
Another great thing about these family communities in the Northwest Valley is the landscape. They all have landscape that is well-maintained and complements the desert surroundings. The developers of the communities have taken great care to installing desert plants, but still creating a full lash masterpiece for your enjoyment.
