I love to spend the afternoon and wander down to the boat docks and sit in the

gazebo overlooking the river.

Each time I visit, I am mesmerized by the manatees, or sea cows, as they frolic and play with each other.

I can watch these gentle giants for hours. They are incredible!

We found this guy taking turns doing somersaults with his friends.

Great pics and a wonderful looking community.  If that's the Mariner of the Seas, it's also the boat I took my last cruise on.

Hi Sandy, I enjoyed your pictures of the Treasure Island Club-especially the manatees.  I can see how you could watch them for hours!  Do many of them get hit by the propellers of the boats since they like to play in the canals?

Lou, This is a great spot to live in- it's a beautiful complex and it's so close to beaches, the Cocoa Beach Pier, Ron Jon's Surf Shop, fishing, shopping and the cruise ships.  What more could someone ask for?

Gabe, Treasure Island Club Condos are gorgeous.  I've taken one cruise out of Port Canaveral. The one we took to the Cayman Islands and Cozumel in July was out of Tampa.

Bruce, Thanks - it really is a special place to visit. I love spending an afternoon there - it's so gorgeous.  Although, we tend to see the manatees earlier in the morning, if it's a hot day. They like to come out when it's cool.  Watching them is liking watching kids on a playground - they each have their own special personality.  And yes, propellers are a real problem - manatee zones are no wake zones - and boaters are heavily fined for breaking the speed limit.  Often we see the propeller scars on the backs of these big guys. It's sad.
