Fall Festival  fall

New Hampshire in the fall is a glorious time of year.

One of the events I always mark on my calendar is the Beaver Brook Association Fall Festival.  This year the  27th annual festival will take place on September 22-23 and September 29-30 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.  The New Hampshire Fall Festival is held at the Maple Hill Farm in Hollis New Hampshire.  The Maple Hill Farm is located at 117 Ridge Road, Hollis, NH.

There is an exceptional nature art and photography exhibit that you won't want to miss!   In addition you can enjoy:

  • Live Music
  • Educational Nature Crafts for Children
  • Dried herbs and flower arrangements
  • Baked goods and Cider
  • Guided hikes on trails and the many beautiful gardens
  • Self-guided pumpkin trail
  • Fresh produce
  • Visit local crafters and artisans

This is an event for the entire family.  Visitors from New Hampshire and beyond make it a point to attend.  Last year there were over 1200 attendees!

Short History

In 1964 the Beaver Brook Association was founded by Hollis P. Nichols and Jeffrey P. Smith, both of Hollis, New Hampshire. They began with 12 acres of land.  Their vision was to foster land stewardship awareness and encourage a sense of appreciation for the natural world. The State of New Hampshire chartered Beaver Brook Association as an educational non-profit organization.

Today there are 2,000 acres located in Hollis, Brookline, and Milford, New Hampshire.   Hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching, and many other activities are available on 35 miles of trails.  The trail have been carefully mapped and designated for activities that will have the least impact on that particular area.

Sue -- If you do get to the festival, let me know and maybe we can meet each other in person!  The 22nd is my husband's birthday, but I hope to be there  on one of the days of the festival.

Sally -- I guess it is pretty far from your part of of world.  I appreciate your visiting my blog.

Monika -- Fall is magical.  After living in San Francisco for over 28 years, I thought it was going to be a difficult adjustment.  Although, I do miss my dear friends, I do find the changinf of the seasons a wonderful experience.  I love all of the festivals -- It is so much fun!  Sorry to miss you class, it sounds interesting.  However, I had another commitment.

Hi Stephanie -- I think it will be a bit too far to come from Texas.  I will try to update the blog with pictures from the event.  It is expected that we will have visitors from all of the boarder states -- and even beyond.  This is truly a great festival!!
