1.) The weeding of the roadway planter beds was completed today. This included weed eating of the area of the future fountain. The mulching of the roadway planter beds and the fountain area will take place next week. The weeding and cleaning of these beds will take place on a weekly basis. We can remove the dead hollies if the neighborhood association would like us to. Just let me know.
2.) We will finish the had cutting of the weeds and vines in the rear 5 acre nature area tomorrow, Next week will beginning the machine cutting and spraying of this area. This work will take the whole week to complete. We will respray this area several times over the next several months.
3.) We have also just completed cutting the grass inside the fence around the buildings. We will continue this work every month or as needed until construction starts.
4.) The blue coating that you see on the buildings is an encapsulating compound that is being sprayed on the buildings. It is used to contain the waterproofing compound on the buildings during demolition. Some of the waterproofing compound used had some asbestos fibers, thus the need for the encapsulation. The asbestos abatement contractor should be complete this work and all the remaining abatement next week.
5.) The demo contractor will have equipment on the job next Wednesday or Thursday to clean up all the remaining debris from the asbestos abatement process. This work should take no more than two to three days to complete
6.) As you are aware, we have filed for the Special Administrative Permit due to the Overlay District. We should received comments, a permit with comments or a permit the first part of next month. Once we receive the SAP, we will be ready to start the actual demo work.
