Los Angeles, California has such a rich history as well as its unique historical buildings. You literally find yourself become so absorbed and fascinated, that you forget what era you are in.

The Los Angeles Civic Center and City Hall in Los Angeles is no exception!

The Los Angeles Civic Center and City Hall was completed in 1928. This incredible building was designed by John Parkinson and Albert C. Martin. The city hall was the tallest building in Los Angeles until 1964.

Renovations took place for this historical building in 1998-2001, due to the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

It is a pity that the skyline crowds in on this beautiful building ... thanks for sharing Ralph!

Ralph, having been born and raised in Los Angeles, I remember this building well.  From a time were it actually stood out from the other structures.  Now.... it's sort of lost in all the high rises.  Beautiful building and I always got a kick out of seeing it in the opening sequence of Dragnet.  Remember that?
