To Decorate or NOT Decorate your Frisco TX Home for the Holidays? Helpful Home Selling Tip Usable Everywhere

Ann Arbor Area home sellers, this is a good post if your home is on the market during the holidays.

It is also great information for Ann Arbor homesellers "thinking" of putting your home on the market.

If you are a buyer looking for a home in the Ann Arbor area, how do you feel about homes being decorated for Christmas?

This post is inspired by Debe Maxwell, Seller's Tip: Selling your Charlotte home for the Holidays. She provided many useful tips on preparing the home for the holidays. One of them: Decorating the home....

Essentially I just want to touch on this topic because there had been many discussions, usually this time of the year - To decorate or NOT decorate the Home for the Holidays?

So, let's bring out the human aspects of this time of the year. Once we get over Thanksgiving, we think about buying Christmas gifts and shopping. Although winter, there is a warmth to the season. Most people's spirits are great, happy and cheerful. (You don't need to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa to feel the festivities). It's in EVERYONE of all nation, all colors.

Then look around Shopping Malls and retailers. They deck their stores with Christmas and holiday decorations.

If you see your home as a product in the marketplace, why shouldn't you decorate your home for the Holidays too?

Americans as such they want to remain "politically" correct. Sometimes, I think they think too much. They don't want to decorate their homes for Christmas and the holidays because they don't want to offend anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas!

But do you know many people celebrate Christmas even though they are NOT Christians? I can say so because I was one of them. I celebrated Christmas (although not the true meaning) long before I knew what it really meant. Do you think I feel offended when I go to malls seeing all the beautiful decorations hanging up the wazoo? Not one bit. In fact, the atmosphere made me spend more......Trust me - The retailers know what they are doing.

So people, don't think too much about it. I'm not saying deck the whole house and every square inch corner with Christmas and Holiday cheer but it's great to bring out the warmth through holiday decorations. There's nothing that says more about a Happy Family who is willing and able to sell their home during the Winter Season.

Deck your halls and get your home ready for the holidays!!!

Hey Missy! I agree and will be doing a post on decorating your home as well. I do not think it matters what "religion" you follow, it's about the feeling you get when walking into your family or friends home to simple be together and celebrate your love for one another :)

I think a festively decorated home will help sell it. It just "feels good."
