Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Boil is Paying It Forward. Looking for a terrific shrimp dinner ? Want some great Gulf shrimp ? Is your mouth watering for some " wild caught " shrimp rather than the store bought kind ? You're in luck ! Saint Rafaels' Episcopal Church has exactly what you want ! The first of the season dinners was a complete sell-out ! The next shrimp boil will be held December 4, 2010 starting about 4:30. The church is located 3 blocks south of Publix at 5602 Williams Dr. There is plenty of parking and guests should get there shortly after 4:30 .
A $15.00 donation gets all you can eat wild caught shrimp, homemade corn bread, cole slaw, baked beans, wine/beer/water and desert ! These shrimp are wild caught from nearby Gulf of Mexico waters ! They are succulent, firm and pink. Shrimp raised in foriegn shrimp farms are heavily dosed with chemicals and thus are a grey color ! Once you taste a wild caught shrimp you will never settle for the grey ones - never !
Our locally caught shrimp come directly to us from the local shrimp fleet. The fleet is anchored in Estero Bay and the shrimp are fresh frozen until we boil them !
Saint Raphaels' is a friendly and welcoming church with a long history of service on Fort Myers Beach. The annual shrimp dinners are very popular ! Plan to arrive a little early and bring a hearty appetite ! This is the real deal for shrimp lovers ! Look for the sign by the road !
