Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Boil is Paying It Forward.  Looking for a terrific shrimp dinner ?  Want some great Gulf shrimp ?  Is your mouth watering for some " wild caught " shrimp rather than the store bought kind ?  You're in luck !  Saint Rafaels' Episcopal Church has exactly what you want !  The first of the season dinners was a complete sell-out !  The next shrimp boil will be held December 4, 2010 starting about 4:30.  The church is located 3 blocks south of Publix at 5602 Williams Dr.   There is plenty of parking and guests should get there shortly after 4:30 .

A $15.00 donation gets all you can eat wild caught shrimp, homemade corn bread, cole slaw, baked beans, wine/beer/water and desert !   These shrimp are wild caught from nearby Gulf of Mexico waters !  They are succulent, firm and pink.  Shrimp raised in foriegn shrimp farms are heavily dosed with chemicals and thus are a grey color !  Once you taste a wild caught shrimp you will never settle for the grey ones - never !

Our locally caught shrimp come directly to us from the local shrimp fleet.  The fleet is anchored in Estero Bay and the shrimp are fresh frozen until we boil them !

Shrimp has always been one of my favorite foods. I remember fish fries and pancake breakfasts growing up in Wisconsin, but a shrimp boil sounds like an even tastier way to support the church.

Hi John,  These are boiled and served with some zesty hrose radish dipping sauce - kind of a shrimp lovers' classic !

Hi Rita,  The church ladies make the cornbread, cole slaw and baked beans.  Mother Nature makes the Gulf shrimp !

Hi Jane,  These folks found out that when the shrimp are wild caught they simply don't need spices or breading to make them delicious.  They come to us that way from Mother Nature !
