Does Your Agent Add Value??

Does Your Agent Add Value? With the dawn of the internet, access to information has never been more readily available.  However, as the internet age matures savvy consumers have learned that information alone can be useful, but when married with a professional that can interpret and guide the consumer with advice and local expertise the information becomes even more valuable.

Home shopping has changed significantly in the past 10 years.  Gone are the days when buyers would look for real estate agents in the local phone book. Now just type realtor and the name of a city in your browser and you will instantly receive dozens of names of agents claiming to be experts, as well as third party websites that claim to be able to evaluate the agents across a marketplace.  In addition to real estate agent bios, you will also find various websites willing to send you listings from the local multiple listing services.  Unfortunately many of these websites provide misleading and inaccurate information to the consumer.

When shopping for real estate the best rule to remember is that property values are always driven by local conditions and these conditions can vary tremendously from one street to the next.  When you have found an area where you are considering a home purchase, my advice is to find a local agent that can speak intelligently about the neighborhood you are considering.  An experienced agent will be able to talk about the reputation of local schools and the development plan that is in place for the local city.Does Your Agent Add Value?

The key questions when looking for a quality agent is what value they will add to your home search.  Our team at Schweller Properties averages 3-5 homes sold per month.  This means that we are up to date on local trends in the real estate marketplace and can provide you not only with quality information, but the expertise to analyze and guide you during the purchase or sale of property in the East Contra Costa area.  We look forward to helping you with all your real estate questions or needs.  Feel free to e-mail or call anytime or visit us online at www.schwellerproperties.com
