During the last quarter of each year (beginning in late October) I always find it a little difficult to focus on the task at hand. The distractions pulling me from Title Insurance, Real Estate and Mortgage are just too daunting. We have Thanksgiving, Holiday Parties, Hanukkah, Christmas, Guests Coming to Town (Florida), Obligations Out of Town (the in laws), Friends, Family and oh yea ---- WORK! All the time pressures can be pretty overwhelming.
Realizing this, I decided that this year I am going to be proactive and stay 100% focused on "the task at hand". In order to effectuate this goal I have decided to revisit some of the previous CD's included within various issues of Success Magazine which I have collected over the past few years. For those not familiar with Success, it's a publication issued Monthly with topics oriented toward "being the best you can be". It is full of inspiration with writers such as Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale and John Maxwell. It also contains works from Jeffrey Gitomer (www.gitomer.com) who is considered by some as the most knowledgeable sales person of our time as well as other prominent authors and speakers. Every time I read the magazine I get fired up and am ready to conquer the world.
What's really cool about the magazine is that it comes with a free CD in each issue which contains works from some of the previously mentioned authors as well as various others. Additionally, each month they feature a guest. They recently featured Ron Howard, Montel Williams and Serena Williams.
I must say that since I decided to revisit some of these forgotten about CDs, I have been able to focus on the task at hand, stay positive, be inspired and continue to learn from some of the most successful and insightful people on the planet.
I encourage you, whether or not you face the same dilemma as I, to go out and purchase the magazine -- Read it, Listen to it and if you enjoy it -- subscribe to it.
