Each holiday season, more than 80,000 visitors visit Texas' most elaborate train exhibit featuring hundreds of miniature Lionel locomotives traveling on a journey across America's greatest cities and national landmarks. November 26 – December 24, Shows every hour on the hour - Children of all ages giggle with delight as the witty, and sometimes unpredictable, Ebenezer Scrooge emerges from his half-timbered cottage at the top of every hour. Celebrating his 33rd year at NorthPark, John Hardman of Le Theatre de Marionette uses puppetry to bring to life one of the most well known misers in literary history from Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Come back time and again for this ever-changing performance, and to see if Scrooge has a change of spirit just in time for Christmas. November 26 – December 24 - A tradition at NorthPark Center since 1965, the hand-crafted Pecan Reindeer and Candy Santa Claus display was created by Patsy Nasher to commenorate NorthPark's very first holiday. The whimsical scene features Santa Claus, Rudolph and the other reindeer flying high in Neiman Marcus Court, en route with a magical sleigh brimming with toys. This one-of-a-kind holiday presentation was created with more than 18 bushels of whole pecans, 8 bushels of whole almonds, 10 pounds of raisins and an array of sugary delights. November 3 – December 5 - Founded in 2006 by David M. Schwatz Architects, Gingertown is a unique holiday initiative which brings together talent from more than 25 local design, engineering and construction firms for a live build competition to help spread joy and hope during the holidays.Sights and Sounds of the Season
December 1 – 24 - More than 160 orchestras and choral and dance groups from across North Texas take the stage at NorthPark for free memorable holiday performances. From school, church and synagogue groups to professional touring acts, enjoy a full schedule of special concerts performing throughout the holiday season. Performances include the Turtle Creek Chorale, Metropolitan Winds, Dallas Ballet Company, Texas Ballet Theater School, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts, Plano Children's Chorale, Garland Children's Choir, Dallas Asian-American Youth Orchestra and many more talented groups. December 4 11AM – 6PM & December 5 1PM – 6PM, Tickets: $10 per child - Celebrate the holidays in sweet style at the annual Camp Gingerbread. Bring the whole family to decorate gingerbread cookies with frosting, nuts, dried fruit, candies and sprinkles. Proceeds benefit Shared Housing, a non-profit organization that facilitates affordable housing options for those in need.Treats of Christmas
December 18, 10AM – 7PM - Join NorthPark Center for the ultimate holiday bake sale benefitting the North Texas Food Bank's "Cooking Matters™". Presented by the Texas Chefs Association, dozens of premier chefs from area restaurants and catering companies present an assortment of gourmet cakes, sweets, pies and cookies available for purchase.
