Will the Fed Lower Interest Rates?
|
|
Jim
Cramer, host of "Mad Money" on CNBC weighed in on the
economy and the federal reserve on the Today show. He
thinks that glass is half empty so to speak and is
fearful that the fed is going to do little to help it
out. As the date for the fed's chance to do something
rapidly approaches I can only hope that the fed opens
their eyes and makes the right move to lower interest
rates.
Although retail sales and big corporations might be
putting up big numbers the vast majority of would be
home owners are finding themselves priced out of the
market by rising interest rates and the huge run up in
home prices over the last five years. If the fed
doesn't think it's their there role to aid in Americans
being able to achieve the American dream, what are we
paying them for? The problem with Academics like
Bernake is they lack real world experience and think the
answers are in a text book and this is some kind of
experimental research project they can later theorize
about after the fact.
Meantime real hard working people in this country are
struggling with the cost of just getting by. Don't get
me started on the myriad of other problems we're
facing. I say let's wake up Greenspan and have him come
give the economy a swift kick in the pants. Maybe some
real world experience can steer us out of dangerous
waters.
