Cape Coral Holiday Festival Of Lights... it's gonna SNOW!

Home Inspector with Cape Coral Florida

This is one of the biggies for Cape Coral ...and always a great time! ...The Cape Coral Holiday Festival of Lights is this Saturday December 4th from 4:00 till 10:00 on Cape Coral Parkway in Downtown Cape Coral Florida.

This is a yearly free holiday family event held in the heart of downtown Cape Coral. Events include the lighting of the Christmas Tree as snow begins to fall... YES I said snow, in SW Florida! 20 tons of snow will be trucked in to form a snow slide for "sledding". ...don't laugh you northerners!! Kitz Street free play area, 3 stages of holiday performances for 21 group dancing and singing troupes and again this year the Tiny Tot Train rides,

Topped off with lots of food, refreshments and gift basket auctions. Of course, Santa Claus will make an appearance.

This is made possible by the hard work of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce. The city comes together every year to kick off the holiday season.

I think is great. I'm from Hollywood originally and remember holidays without snow, not going to happen to me anymore. Snow in the forecast this weekend. I'll be thinking of you with your short sleeve shirt on. Happy snow day.

Sounds like fun. If you run out of trucked-in snow, I have a bunch you can use.

With temps as cool as they have been, that snow will feel like it belongs there. :)

Hi Russel, Down here that 20 tons turned to a big puddle really fast! ...but it lasted long enough for Florida kids to have some fun in the snow.
