My dear friends, I wrote this post a while ago. I mentioned in it how some folks think of loved ones lost when they see a shooting star. Someone special shared a story about this very thing. Tonight I am forgoing my post to repost this one and once again remind those who have lost loved ones, they are not forgotten.
My heart and prayers are with Tish Lloyd and Cinnamon Wright (and of course Zoe) as they say goodbye to Tish's mom.
Please send them your love, your prayers and your well wishes as they morn their loss.
Stars come in all shapes and sizes.
They have many meanings.
The meanings change from person to person.
And each persons view of the meaning of a star changes throughout ones life.
Stars can be a sign of Status or Authority.

A shooting star, while magnificent to see, can fade so quickly. What does it mean to you? To me it meant to make a wish, then I met a beautiful family, here on Active Rain, that share shooting stars to remember loved ones lost. Can you find a more beautiful meaning than that? This one's for you Tish, Cinnamon and Zoe!
Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight. Have you ever wished on the first star? I do! Are you thinking of the night sky at dusk? That's one kind of star.

I'm making my wish on this star, my first star, the one that just appeared from the AR Gods like it was just dropped down from heaven. Okay, that is a slight exaggeration, but you get the point, or in this case, I got the points. :)D
I wish 2011 will have many stars shinning bright, no more extinguishing flickers of hope. I wish for happy healthy stars in my family, friends and associates to shine brilliantly and long. I wish to shine bright, perhaps the brightest among the brightest. After all isn't the sky the limit?
So while your gazing upon the stars, looking for the meaning of life,
