Richard...my wife and I delivered gifts to elderly shut-ins tonight compliments of Anonymous Santa. It warms the heart just to see the smiles! No, I am off to find some Peppermint Schnaupps for my coco!
So true! Here in New England it's always a cold winter and usually very snowy. I can't imagine Christmas in a warm climate. The neighborhood I live in had caroling, with candles going through the streets last night. It was so nice.
Enjoy your holiday.

We have the same weather "syndrome" with respect to the cold Canadian blasts meeting overhead with the wet southern fronts, thereby producing those memorable wet snow dumps.
The difference is that we're probably about 3-5 degrees colder and sometimes that's all it takes.
Well, I guess I'm going to get into the spirit this week. It's supposed to get in the 30's tonight here in Florida. For us, that's like a deep freeze!
Cooler weather does make the holidays seem more like Christmas - even in Florida. But my favorite adult memory of Christmas is still playing a round of golf with my late father in law. Neither a golfer but the times were fun!
Sorry, I can't agree with this. Fl is hit by a real bad cold front and the temperatures are lower than in the last 30 years for this time of the year. It does NOT bring out the holiday spirit, the opposite, we are FROZEN in place and do not want to move.
