Whole Lotta Shopping Going On!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with iTexas Realty Co.

Well, we've just entered into the month of December and if you've been over at the malls or The Shops at La Cantera, you've noticed that the San Antonio Christmas shopping season is hot and has been for a couple weeks now.

On the housing front, shopping is quite a bit slower. In fact, it's almost nonexistent.  But don't be discouraged, this is very typical for the month of December - and the good news that we've been hearing from the media (finally), coupled with the low interest rate has prospective Buyers talking about beginning their home shopping just about the first or second week of January.

This recent market has been very challenging for sellers, but hang in there as serious spring Buyers should be right around the corner. So please enjoy all the holidays have to offer. Bake some cookies, have some friends over give up vacuuming for the day.

--Of course, if you don't vacuum, you may get a call with a showing request!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. It's a wonderful season of joy!

Sara,

Nice to hear from you...What we have noticed on the uptick in shopping is that prices on gifts, etc, are normalizing...In speaking this weekend with a former member of the Federal Reserve, homes are selling at 70% of replacement value, so the new homebuyers should be flocking.  Wishing you lots of flockers coming your way.  A
