Santa Clause riding with the Floresville Volunteer Fire Department to end the parade.

The weather was beautiful and while the parade had fewer entries than in years past it was still quiet beautiful.

OH Cindy...  Girl you just made me cry!!!!  I was born in Floresville and had so many memories at the Peanut Festival....   The fire truck was a big tear jerker.   My grandfather use to be a volunteer fire fighter and he let me ride on the fire truck during the parade.  He's passed now so seeing that picture just made the tears run.  My grandma Schroller retired from working in the Peanut Festival and doing a lot of planning for it.  She still lives in Floresville.  To add one more thing... I met my husband at the Peanut Festival 21 years ago....    ****Great community post and maybe I will see you the second weekend in October at the Peanut Festival.
