A common oversight when purchasing a condo in Austin, Texas, is neglecting to inquire about the pet-friendliness of the condo complex. Some complexes (especially in Central Austin, closer to the University of Texas) don't allow dogs or cats of any sort other than service animals!  Many people who have been allowed to have even large dogs in their current rentals don't think to inquire about this condo pet policy --- and their realtor may not think to ask about their pet status.

Also, if you've ever wondered, "Will my pet like the new home?," then wonder no more.  I can probably arrange with the owners to let your cat or dog come for a short visit so you can see how well he/she adapts to the new pad.
